Integration, analytics, and event processing business Tibco, announced that it has joined theCloud Foundry Foundation, an independent non-profit organisation that drives the development, promotion, and adoption of Cloud Foundry as the industry standard platform for cloud applications. As a Foundation member, TIBCO will be in a position to actively contribute to the development of the platform to meet the demands facing enterprises in the midst of cloud adoption.
Commenting on the announcement Matt Quinn, executive vice president of products & technology and chief technology officer, TIBCO said. “By joining the Cloud Foundry Foundation, we have an opportunity to cooperatively enhance the Cloud Foundry platform, equipping developers with the best tools to swiftly and safely architect the kind of cloud-native applications that grow businesses.”
TIBCO will be working with other Cloud Foundry Foundation members to enable customer development of portable cloud-native applications that leveragethe TIBCO BusinessWorks Container Edition platform. Natively running within a Cloud Foundry Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environment, TIBCO BusinessWorks Container Edition provides the fastest time to results for developers by letting them focus on the business logic of their applications, leaving much of the complex work of integrating applications and microservices to automation.
